What sizes are available and how do I pick my size?
We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate your needs. Sizes range from 4x5, or 20 square feet, to 10x23, or 230 square feet. Determining the right size is easy with the help of our staff. To determine the size you need stop by and visit Advanced Self Storage and we will be glad to give you a tour of our facility

Do you have video cameras?
Yes we do have video cameras placed strategically throughout the facility as well as a digital recording system.

Is your facility fenced in with gated access?
No, we are not fenced in as all of our units are indoors in climate controlled environment. Access to the facility is controlled via an electronic access system. The electronic key pad system controls access to the facility via a unique access code for each tenant. The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.

Are there moving trucks available to use?
Yes, we offer use of a moving truck with any move in. See the manager for details and to schedule your truck today. Availability is limited so call now to schedule.

Can I buy boxes and other moving supplies from your facility?
Yes. We offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies.

Do you have moving carts available?
Yes we have carts for use at no additional charge to make your move easier. Just pull up to your unit and load your goods on to our carts.

What is climate control?
Climate control is a feature that we offer at our facility. Our climate controlled units maintain a temperature of 50 to 80 degrees. This feature helps protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures, humidity and mold

Do I get a lock when I rent a unit?
We don’t supply the lock, but we do have locks available at competitive rates or you can supply your own. Remember—your lock, your key and only you have access to your goods.

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle parking?
We don’t offer that at our Piscataway location, but our sister property in Edison offers parking for RVs, boats, cars and motorcycles for short and long term parking needs. Call them at 732-572-2689 to discuss your needs.

What is a drive-up unit?
A drive-up unit is an outside unit, located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to load your belongings directly from a vehicle or truck.

What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The office hours are the hours of operation for the property. During these hours the Store Manager will be available to assist you with your storage needs or moving and packing supplies. The gate hours are the hours of the property, and when your unit can be accessed. If you require access outside of our standard gate hours ask your Store Manager for information about 24-hour access.

How far in advance can I book a reservation?
We give you the flexibility to book a reservation anytime you prefer in advance to help you plan ahead.

What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
An outdoor unit has access from outside. An indoor unit is within the property and will require you to go inside to access your unit.

What kind of security do you have?
Advanced Self Storage takes great pride in protecting your belongings and strives to provide state-of-the-art security. We feature electronic gate with coded access, monitored video surveillance and a fenced and well-lit facility.

Do you accept credit cards?
We accept major credit cards, including MasterCard®, Visa®, Discover®, or American Express®.
